Custom Window Treatments

Not Just Another Shade

Windows are key elements in your home’s interior design and in the look of each room. (And you thought they were just there to let light in and keep the weather out!) Other than paint, window treatments are a great place to start when looking to update a room.

Purchasing drapery to “fit” your windows appropriately is key. Many times the drapery you purchase off the shelf is not long enough to cover your windows. Cheek Interiors has a drapery workroom that will fabricate and install the perfect window treatments tailor made for your windows. Our design team will measure, sketch designs and select fabrics and hardware that work with your décor. Sometimes you just need a simple shade or blind for privacy, we can measure and custom cut these as well!

So think about some of these options for your new window treatments:

  1. Prints and patterns – If you look in any sort of fashion magazine (clothing or interior design), you can see that some of the biggest styles involve color and patterns. Many companies offer dozens of color, pattern and style combinations making it possible to find a “off the rack” window treatment to complement virtually any design.
  2. Natural – Everyone is going on about bringing the outdoors in or green design. Wood blinds have around for decades and are still a popular choice. They’re durable, beautiful and practical. You can find anything from the traditional blinds to woven sisal, grass, and jute roller shades that can create rustic or classy design effect in your rooms.
  3. Cordless – Though cordless shades have been available for a while, they are really taking off lately. These window treatments offer a clean, uncluttered look. Even though they are cordless, they are easy to raise evenly. And just by not having cords, you get an extra safety bonus for the kids and pets.

So if you want to redecorate your house this fall, call Cheek Interiors to help with everything from paint / color scheme selections to custom window treatments. We can work with almost any budget to create your dream space.
